82 King Street is at the heart of Manchester’s business zone.
The development is, in essence, two separate though connected buildings – the Grade I Listed former Bank of England and a 13 storey office building completed in 1996.
Reid Architects were invited by F&C Investments to provide design proposals for the refurbishment of the existing banking hall and the landlord/common areas to the 13 storey office tower.
The brief is to ensure that 82 King Street regains its prominence in the Manchester office market.
Work to the building has continued seamlessly with Reid now working as design team leader for the Cat A and part Cat B fit out of vacant office suites prior to re-letting.
The tenant spaces are getting a full mechanical and electrical services replacement.
Reid is designing interior fit outs for selected suites including full FFE specification and scheduling.
