Reid’s second hotel for Melia's Innside brand is located in the heart of Newcastle upon Tyne.
The site is a sensitive urban location in the centre of Newcastle with a context of six listed buildings and a scheduled ancient monument.
The 180 room four star hotel includes a spa facility, a 200 seat conferencing facility and a 150 cover full service restaurant.
Reid is working with detailed 3D context mapping and modelling to create a new building within a very restrictive rights to light envelope and the high benchmark of design set by the contextual listed buildings whilst still delivering the operators accommodation requirements and brand aesthetic.
